Volunteer Opportunities
Office Volunteers:
Office volunteers are a great help to the DCRC staff. We can use hepp with data entry, mailing, and other day to day office tasks. Our office is open Monday thru Friday 9 am- 5 pm. We are always looking for energetic volunteers willng to help out. Hours are flexible.
One Day Volunteers:
This is an opportunity for people who waht to volunteer, but
have schedules that don't allow for it on a regular basis. One-day project volunteers
participate in planned activities that can be completed in a single day, such
as food/clothing drive, or yard sale.
Shelter Care Providers:
The shelter, like any other home, requires routine maintenance, cleaning, and overall upkeep. Volunteers are need to assist staff and residents in maintaining the shelter. This can be done on weekends or weekdays.
Thrift Store Volunteers:
Assist with Pennies for changes, DCRC's Thrift Store. Volunteer are needed to help sort and organize donations, as well as with daily operations of the store.
Must complete on-site orientation and training
Must be available during weekday daytime hours, along with weekends
Must be at least 16 years of age
Fund Raising/Special Events Volunteers
Fund Raising/special events participate in a variet of events, doing everything from planning to publicity to welcoming guest at an event on an as needed basis. Volunteers commit to working through the duration of the project.
Support Group Facilitator
We offer a variety of support groups to meet the different
needs of our clients. Volunteers have the opportunity to assist and facilitate
with support groups
Must Complete 48 hour DCRC Advocate TrainingMust have volunteered for at least one yearMust complete Support Group Facilitator Training
