Learn a skill for an advantage in the Navy and afterwards

Navy technical schools are considered among the best in the world. Many high school graduates choose

to develop skills in navy high-tech career fields rather than attend college right away. These Navy technical

schools offer a good start fro the career-bulding process. The Navy may have more interesting

jobs to offer than any other single employer can - more than 60 job specialties, most with may subspecialties.

From construction to administration, mechanics to health care, data processing to nuclear power, logistical

support to scientific and high-tech occupations, the Navy has practically any job specialty you can find in the civilian

world The Nay matches people's interests and abilities to the more than 50,000 jobs available each year.

These jobs include openings for qualified high school graduates in two critical fields: nuclear propulsion and

advanced electronics.

In all job specialties, Navy training includes at the least one basic school. Advanced training is often available for those who qualify. All Navy

fields offer upward mobility, opportunity to advance in pay and position, and the chance to develop one's full potential. National Apprenticeship Program

Under an agreement between the Navy and the U.S. Department of Labor, some Navy skills can lead to apprenticeship certification in jobs comparable to

civilian career fields. The program's major purpose is to develop highly skilled, Navy-oriented journeymen.
